The Financial Contingency Fund If you’re finding it really hard to make ends meet, you may be able to get some financial help from the Financial Contingency Fund. The Fund is given to UWIC each year, by the Welsh Assembly, to help students, who are in excessive hardship. If you are studying full or part-time on a mainstream undergraduate or postgraduate course or course of further education, you are eligible to apply to the Fund as long as you meet the residence requirements, that is, you aren’t an international or EU student. The good news is that any award you are given doesn’t have to be repaid! If you want to find out more information about how the Fund works and whether you’re eligible or if you want to know how to request a review of your case or make an appeal, click on one of the links. You can download an application form from this page but you can’t submit it online because of the supporting documentation you need to send with your application. Please note: Links below are for 2007 entry. The information for 2008 will be updated soon.
