The Quality Enhancement Centre

The Quality Enhancement Centre (QEC) was established within the Learning & Teaching Development Unit in 2003.

The Centre’s enhancement activity focuses on developing the academic means to efficiently and effectively

meet improvements in learning and teaching.

The QEC team are: Sue Tangney | Ruth Matheson | Nicola Poole| Pam Phillips | Rachel Coral

The remit of QEC is constantly developing and evolving and includes:

Generating evaluative feedback for the improvement of learning and teaching;
Disseminating the outcomes of evaluations and developing action plans;
Promoting professional development through the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme;
Supporting and sharing good practice in learning and teaching;
Supporting the development of student-centred learning;
Advancing an evidence-based and reflective approach in the construction and development of academic programmes;
Supporting the integration of Progress Files and PDP;
Carrying out a range of student experience surveys;
Supporting Student Retention;
Disseminating the annual outcomes from the National Student Survey (NSS).
