Observatory - QuestionMark Perception (QMP)

QMP is an online assessment tool used that has been piloted at UWIC over the past two years. It has been compared with the assessment functionality native to Blackboard 7.3, and how it could be effectively implemented across the university has been examined.

After due consideration, it was decided not to proceed with this product. Although QMP offered some advantages over Blackboard, these came with the added cost of additional complexity. This complexity took QMP away from being a simple tool that any member of staff could use with brief training and towards a something that would require institutional level implementation and organisation.

At this time, this is not an avenue UWIC is seeking to go down, meaning at present QMP offers little advantage over the existing functionality within Blackboard.
