Employability Best Practice in Learning, Teaching, and
Assessment
These pages are for academic staff to share examples of how they provide employability development opportunities within their learning, teaching and assessment practices.
These initial examples are those of which we are already aware. There will be many more examples of best practice and we urge you to send these to us for inclusion on these pages.
The higher education-employment interface is well illustrated by
Professor Lee Harvey’s model (originally published in ‘Transforming Education’ 1996 and since up-dated). This demonstrates the linkages between some learning, teaching and assessment approaches and employability development outcomes for students.
