Assessment
and Feedback
“It is impossible to overstate the role of effective comments on
students’ progress in any discussion of effective teaching and
assessment.”

LTDU supports Schools in the development of assessment and
feedback within their programmes. This includes the use of tools
such as Blackboard to develop approaches to computer assisted
assessment; CourseGenie as a means of embedding formative
assessment within course materials; QuestionMark Perception as a
powerful formative but also summative assessment tool; and the
exploration of student-centred assessment practices, using
discussion boards, blogs and wikis.
This Powerpoint presentation by Colleen Connor, Dean of Learning
and Teaching contains succinct examples of good
